“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” Wayne Gretsky

As I reflect on the journey we've taken together through the exploration of courage, I am reminded of the immense challenges that face our world today. From the looming threat of climate change to the persistent grip of poverty, these global issues demand our attention and action. Yet, in the face of such daunting challenges, it is courage that enables us to confront them head-on and work towards meaningful solutions.
One of the most profound demonstrations of courage in our modern era is the fight for social justice and equality. Countless individuals have bravely stood up against injustice, risking their safety and livelihoods to advocate for the rights of others. From civil rights leaders marching for racial equality to activists speaking out against gender discrimination, these courageous acts have sparked movements and brought about lasting change.
“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

But courage is not just about individual acts of bravery; it's also about the collective power of ordinary people coming together to make a difference. Community action plays a vital role in addressing pressing issues like homelessness, environmental degradation, and social inequality. By joining forces with others, we can pool our resources, skills, and voices to effect meaningful change and create a better world for all.
Innovation and progress are also driven by courage—the willingness to push boundaries and challenge the status quo. From scientific breakthroughs to technological advancements, courageous individuals have dared to dream big and pursue novel ideas, propelling humanity forward into new frontiers of knowledge and discovery.
“If you can allow yourself to breathe into the depth, wonder, beauty, craziness, and strife-everything that represents the fullness of your life-you can live fearlessly. Because you come to realize that if you can just keep breathing, you cannot be conquered.” Oprah Winfrey

As we look back on our journey, it becomes clear that courage is not just a trait possessed by a select few; it is a fundamental aspect of the human experience. It is the courage to speak up against injustice, the courage to take risks in pursuit of progress, and the courage to confront our fears and embrace change.
But our journey does not end here. It is a call to action—a call to each and every one of us to embrace courage in our own lives and contribute to a braver world. Whether it's speaking out against injustice, taking action to address global challenges, or pushing the boundaries of innovation, we all have a role to play in shaping the future.
So let us find the courage within ourselves and sustain it, as we confront the challenges that lie ahead. Together, we can create a world where courage prevails, where justice and equality reign, and where progress knows no bounds.
And as we embark on this journey, let us remember the words of Morrie Schwarz: "Find the courage within you, sustain it, and keep it ever handy to confront and grapple with the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune." With courage as our guide, there is no limit to what we can achieve.

In today's increasingly digital world, it's easy to lose sight of what makes us human. The constant bombardment of screens and social media can distract us from cultivating essential qualities like kindness, empathy, and resilience.
My book, Nurturing Hopeful Resilience, guides parents and caregivers through the challenges of raising children in a technology-driven age. It explores the importance of instilling strong values in children from a young age to help them develop into compassionate, responsible, and fulfilled individuals.
Through a series of practical exercises and insightful reflections, this book delves into fourteen core values: curiosity, awareness, kindness, learning, self-awareness, fairness, playfulness, compassion, service, belonging, trustworthiness, authenticity, community, and responsibility. Understanding and nurturing these values can empower our children to thrive in a complex and ever-changing world.
This book offers a roadmap for raising children who are academically successful, emotionally intelligent, socially adept, and morally grounded. It encourages readers to prioritize human connection, empathy, and compassion over material possessions and fleeting digital distractions. By embracing the power of values, we can create a brighter future for ourselves and generations to come.
